  the elders and ministerial servants at my hall were asked to attend a strange meeting last night.

  the society is asking for our help to raise $10,200.

  they are seeking to raise this money in april from elders and ministerial servants in our circuit only.

  Anthony "The Turd" is such an attention whore.. First he brags about being a Vietnam veteran (which he probably wasn't)... Now he's gloating about his wealth. Next, he's going to claim that Einstein (or some other historical figure) was his grandfather's cousin... What a dick...

  Bad month for the Borg this October!

  the month started of quietly then all of a sudden news his the uk about a former jw elder who molested and raped woman and girls.

  then just after as the dust started to settle news out of dallas texas where a complaint was filed alleging elders and a circuit overseer molested and abused six or more victim's.

  before this news even had a chance to resinate threw the ears of those hearing it another complaint was filed in the state of connecticut of four more alleged victims.

  They're working on their last and final revision to the "Revelation" book to be released after the 2014 mass exodus... So they're basically saving their new BS until most of the "thinking dubs" have made their exit and the remaining dubs start asking questions... Lather, rinse, repeat.

  Why don't parents of an abused child go straight to police, why go to an elder first??

  i hope i don't come across as judgemental but having read a lot on the current child abuse cases and the different threads on here, i am left wondering why on earth a parent of an abuse victim would go to an elder with the problem first and not straight to police?.

  as a parent myself i know that if anything like that happend to my child (this applies to when i was still an active jw as well as now) i would not hesitate in going to the authorities as soon as i found out, it wouldn't of crossed mine or my husbands mind to go to an elder.

  maybe after we had reported it but definitely never as the first port of call.

  Some dubs just love themselves more than their own children. So they'll do everything possible to save their asses... even if that means going to the elders instead of the police...

  With all the WT's eschatology and prophetic interpretation, why is there no mention of Islam?

  you'd think that the third major abrahamic religion would be of interest to the witnesses and their fanciful interpretation of just about anything written in the bible, especially with the white-hot relevance islam has in current affairs and the middle east.

  not only that, islam had a huge influence on european history, with conquering armies and direct control over jehovah's supposed holy city of jerusalem.. american christian fundamentalists trip over themselves trying to connect all the dots in scripture so why hasn't the watchtower society?
